Order No. 3298PK
The Rain Gauge Pack combines a `tipping bucket' type rain gauge and a Count Tachometer adaptor capable of measuring the amount of rain fall in 1mm droplets. When used as part of a data logging experiment students can begin to explore rain fall over time.
A selection of products that may compliment the Rain Gauge Pack.
As rain falls the water runs down through the collecting funnel into a self-emptying spoon which tips and empties each time the equivalent of 1 mm of rain has fallen.Total rainfall is measured by counting how many times the bucket tips.
The Rain gauge is wired to a 10 m lead that terminates in a 3.5 mm jack plug which connects to the Count/Tachometer adaptor.
The supplied Count/Tachometer adaptor contains 11 calibrated ranges including one to record rain fall. You can further add to your weather station by adding an Anemometer to measure wind speed.
